Fantasy Football News - After RGIII left the game on Sunday versus the Ravens it was feared that he had suffered a torn ACL. Sunday evening, team spokesman Tony Wyllie confirmed that Robert Griffin had suffered a sprained knee and not the dreaded torn ACL.
FFLockerRoom Take - This is almost the worst case scenario for RGIII owners. Hopefully you do have a decent backup as Griffin, often wasn’t taken as your first QB in drafts. But if you discarded the backup to help other positions during the year without securing a new one, it could be very dicey this week. With the Redskins in the playoff hunt RGIII will do everything he can to get back on the field but the Redskins do not want to risk their long-term plans by playing RG to early.
Whatever you do, have a plan B in place going into week 15. I’m not sold on Kirk Cousins as a viable option but in two quarterback leagues you may not have a better alternative.
