Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Indianapolis Colts sophomore quarterback Andrew Luck enjoyed a very good rookie campaign, having combined for over 4,600 all-purpose yards and 28 touchdowns. While the 23/18 TD to INT ratio is alarming, it is something that most rookie quarterbacks experience and something that can be easily bested with experience.
For his second year, Luck is being joined by former Stanford coach Pep Hamilton who plans on changing up the Colts offense and bringing in a more West Coast oriented style of passing game.
Considering the offensive talent that Luck is surrounded by and the versatility that he has with both his passing and running game, he should be more than fine to continue his rise to fantasy football elite status.
While he most likely won’t reach that this year, look for him to produce a better TD/INT ratio, more passing touchdowns and while possibly...

Dwight Freeney time in Indianapolis is over. Freeney, the Colts all-time sack leader, was informed last week that he would not be brought back.
The new caught the eleven-year veteran off-guard.
“I’ll be honest with you, I was surprised the way it happened,” Freeney said in a telephone interview today with the Indianapolis Star. “I figured they would offer me something low...
Seven-time Pro Bowler Dwight Freeney never expected to be released where he's spent his entire ten-year NFL career.
The 33-year-old defensive end didn't fit well as a 3-4 outside linebacker in the Colts new scheme.
While most understood when the Colts anounced that they would part ways with defensive end Dwight Freeney, Freeney himself was a little miffed.
"I'll be honest with you, I was surprised the way it happened," Freeney told The Indianapolis Star's Mike Chappell on Wednesday, via NFL.com. "I figured they would offer me something low and I would just accept it...
Impending free agent DE Dwight Freeney joined Pro Football Talk Live on Wednesday and mentioned that Peyton Manning has already been recruiting him to sign with the Broncos.
While this seems like an interesting idea given that Manning spent several years with Freeney in Indianapolis, it’s unlikely that they would pursue him as a 3-4 outside linebacker. The Colts asked Freeney...
NFL rumors are in full swing this afternoon with the start of the 2013 NFL Combine. All teams are posturing themselves as being ready to grasp the Lombardi Trophy next February, and of course ever team’s general manager loves everyone currently on their roster. One tidbit that piqued my interest this afternoon is that free agent quarterback Drew Stanton is going to generate some...

Dwight Freeney was surprised to find out that the franchise he expected he would retire with no longer wants him to be a part of the team. It is not because Freeney is overpriced either, because he was not expecting a lot, according to USA Today Freeney was caught off guard by the news.
"I'll be honest with you, I was surprised the way it happened. I figured they would...
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Saying "I grew up a Giants fan, all my life," free agent defensive lineman Dwight Freeney did not hide the fact that he would love to end up a member of the New York Giants.
Free agent defensive end Dwight Freeney is looking for a team right now, and judging from his list of suitors, teams are looking for him.
Freeney is not sure where he’ll end up, but if one NFL team called him, it would be a living out a dream. Freeney was on Sirius radio with Adam Schein and admitted playing for the New York Giants would be a dream come true.
Freeney grew up...
Former Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney is open to play anywhere in the league but he’s got one city he’d really like to play, New York. Freeney played college ball at Syracuse and grew up in nearby Connecticut, so for someone whose nearing the end of his career a trip home sounds like a good idea. Also helps that both the New York Giants and New York Jets could...
