FF Locker Room:
CJ Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
I think the time has finally come for CJ Spiller to deliver on the heaps of promise this kid came out of Clemson with. It took a few years but he was phenomenal last season while Fred Jackson dealt with injuries much of the year.
He had 12 games of double-digit scoring and finished the year with three straight 16 point games in standard formats. Of the top 20 running backs last season his carry total of 207 was by far the lowest. He can do it running or catching and is a home-run threat every time.
Don’t be worried about Fred Jackson next year. While he will be a factor sharing time, think of him as the new Thomas Jones and CJ as the new Jamaal Charles. All signs point to Spiller having a great season and we wouldn’t be surprised if he finished atop the running back leader boards.

According to Yahoo’s Jason Cole, the Buffalo Bills are not expected to tender a 1.3 million dollar offer to restricted free agent David Nelson.
The 4th year wide receiver had two productive seasons as an undrafted member of Buffalo’s “Goon Squad” wide receiver group, before missing most of the 2012 campaign with an ACL tear.
If correct, the move comes as somewhat of a surprise...
It looks like Alex Smith is headed to Kansas City, so at this point its looking unlikely that well see the quarterback in a Bills uniform. According to Ian Rapparport of the NFLN, a deal is “all but done.” It’s important to remember that reporting has been notoriously bad about these things so we could wake up tomorrow seeing Buddy mugging next to Alex Smith, but it’s unlikely...
If asked to name my favorite current member of the Buffalo Bills, I undoubtedly would say running back Fred Jackson. Hard-working, determined, he never gives up to achieve his goal of playing in the NFL or a first-down.
He’s a likable guy. According to a dealer at a Las Vegas casino, him and his wife Danielle play cards. Nothing big or nothing flashy, he’s not one for that...
Nick Barnett has been in the league for almost 10 years now. Has made around $30+ million, while playing with the Packers and Bills.
The Bills released him earlier this month. Far be it from me to tell anyone what to do with their money, I just hope he has saved some, because $500 fill ups aren’t the most financial responsible thing off all time.
According to NBC Sports , Barnett...
The Buffalo Bills have signed assistant GM Doug Whaley to an extension that will likely leave him the man in charge whenever Buddy Nix decides to retire.
The extension does nothing but confirm what everyone has suspected for years: that Doug Whaley is the heir apparent to manage the roster. Whaley was thought to be a candidate for various other openings around the league around this...
According to Black Sports Online, free agent linebacker Nick Barnett pays $500 to fill up his custom Ford F-650 truck.
Barnett took some pictures and posted them on his Instagram account.
NBC Sports believes that Barnett’s truck costs $54,785-$65,710 without any customization. I can’t imagine how much it cost him after everything he did to it.
I hope Barnett signs on with...
David Nelson says he learned that his stint with the Buffalo Bills is likely coming to an end after reading a Twitter report on Friday night.
Nelson has spent three seasons with the Bills and is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Week 1 last year. Though the Buffalo News reported two weeks ago that the team is expected to tender him a contract by the March 15 deadline, Yahoo...
Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone has been itching to meet his new team and figure out what he has to work with next season. He’ll have to wait another 40 days.“I’m really looking forward to it and I think we have a bunch of good guys and we have a lot of work ahead of us," Marrone told Chris Brown of buffalobills.com.The Bills' voluntary workouts will begin at the...
According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, the Buffalo Bills aren’t expected to place a restricted free agent tender on wide receiver David Nelson. This means he’ll officially become a free agent on March 12th.
Bills not expected to tender RFA WR David Nelson, who missed all but one game last season because of injury. Nelson expected to be healthy.

As reported by Chris Brown, lead journalist of BuffaloBills.com, Assistant GM Doug Whaley has signed an extension with the team.
“I am happy that we have secured Doug’s services into the future and look forward to a smooth transition of the position when the time comes,” said Bills GM Buddy Nix.
Whaley joined the Buffalo Bills in 2010 as the Assistant GM and Director of Pro...
The wide receivers are always a popular group in the NFL Draft. Numerous receivers showed their speed and talent in day four of the NFL Combine on Sunday. While there are only a few “elite” talents, many other receivers showed off their talent hoping to get noticed.
With the Buffalo Bills not tendering a contract to David Nelson or Donald Jones, the team is in desperate need...
The Buffalo Bills have scheduled meetings with two of their top free agents this weekend at the NFL Scouting Combine in order to get deals done before free agency begins in March.Well, maybe make that two and a half. General manager Buddy Nix confirmed Saturday that the team, in addition to communicating with the camps of Andy Levitre and Jairus Byrd, has also contacted the agent...
Just when you think the Buffalo Bills are thin enough at wide receiver, they appear bound and determined to get thinner. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Bills are not expected to offer a restricted free agent tender to fourth-year wideout David Nelson.
Nelson, a former undrafted free agent out of Florida, emerged as a dependable possession receiver in his first two...
Well, this isn't exactly debating Drury or Briere, is it? It has been a long time since two Bills players will earn somewhere between 6-8 million bucks a year have hit the market at the same time. That's what happens when you suck for so long. You don't have players other teams want.
I think you'd have to go back to the 2000 offseason when Eric Moulds and Marcellus...
