Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young is in the middle of a Charlie Sheen-level meltdown and it doesn’t seem likely to stop any time soon. On Tuesday Young’s father Richard claimed his son suffers from a mental health disorder and needs help.
Titus Young was arrested on Friday in California for the third time in a week for allegedly breaking into a home. He has been charged with attempted burglary, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. Less than a week earlier Young was arrested in Riverside County on suspicion of driving under the influence, then was arrested the same day for trying to take his car from a tow yard.
Richard Young told The Detroit News that he took his son out for coffee on Friday and that Titus seemed happy and was laughing. But later that day Titus drove off and disappeared. Obviously, he then went to break into that home (allegedly) later in the day.
