Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones did not practice Wednesday. Dealing with soreness in both of his knees the running back has missed practice each of the last two days. The Cowboys have been dealing with injuries at the running back position as they have been without DeMarco Murrary since Oct. 14.
In last Sunday’s game against Cleveland the Cowboys gave Jones 14 carries. He managed 43 yards and scored a touchdown. Should Jones not be able to play on Thanksgiving Day he will be replaced by Lance Dunbar and Phillip Tanner.
The Cowboys remain one of the NFL’s worst teams on the ground, something that does not figure to change against Washington on Thursday. The Redskins are the seventh ranked defense against the run allowing 94.6 yards per game.

Cowboys halfback Felix Jones missed practice on Tuesday because of a sore knee.Fantasy Spin:He was originally slated to be the team's starter Thursday against Washington but now his availability is somewhat in question. Lance Dunbar and Phillip Tanner both saw first team reps in practice on Tuesday. They'll probably split carries Thursday if Jones can't play.
As the Cowboys navigate past the 10 game barrier in their season and in to the stretch drive, we now have enough data to begin to learn about this team based on what they do well and more importantly, it seems, what they don't do well at all.
We know that this team has the fewest 10 play drives in the NFL. Of the Cowboys 112 drives, only 11 have lasted 10 plays. That is lower...
Cowboys receiver Miles Austin has left the Thanksgiving Day game against Washington because of a right hip strain, and cornerback Orlando Scandrick injured his left forearm.
The Cowboys said the return of both players was questionable.
Austin came down hard in the back of the end zone on the opening drive of the game when he took a hit from linebacker London Fletcher on an incomplete...

After today’s crushing loss to the Redskins, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t even sure if his team will win eight games this season.
“All I can do is just sit here and look at the numbers,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said, per the Fort Worth Star- Telegram. “I can’t enthusiastically say that our odds, because I don’t know what New York’s going to do. It looks...
Almost exactly one year ago, Rob Ryan drew criticism for his remarks about Tim Tebow and the (former) Broncos offense.
True to his character, Dallas' defensive boss turned his attention to this year's sensational signal-caller.
In advance of the Thanksgiving day tilt between the Redskins and Cowboys, Ryan said he doesn't like Robert Griffin III, but also admitted he...
As it stands right now, there are eight teams in the NFC with a realistic chance of making the playoffs, with six weeks left in the season. The problem is; there will be a maximum of four spots available for those eight teams.Just two weeks ago, I would have said the New York Giants were a lock to win the NFC East, but with consecutive losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati...
