The Giants’ offense is going like gangbusters. With three games to go, QB Eli Manning has already set the team’s single-season high for passing yards (4105) and for the first time in team history the Giants have two 1,000-yard receivers: Victor Cruz (1159) and Hakeem Nicks (1014). One or both have a shot at shattering Amani Toomer‘s club record of 1343 set in 2002.
The defense has been going in the other direction. Ranked 30th in the league, the results continue to disappoint regardless of the measures taken by DC Perry Fewell. Injuries have strafed the defense all year long. They have not had their “ones” out there all together at the same time at any juncture during this bizarre season.
But they still have enough to compete. Currently, confusion has set in in the back seven. Opposing receivers are finding their way into pasture-like openings in the Giants’ secondary. The players say they are just following orders. Fewell says they are not.

Giants Fans: Proud to Be or Not to Be – that is the Question
The 2011 New York Giants football season can be summed up with one word – nauseating. As a lifelong fan and season ticket holder, it is hard to remember a year with such drama each and every Sunday. Never is a deficit too large when Eli Manning is at the helm, but with this porous defense, no lead is ever safe. Even after throwing a critical interception against the Cowboys...

Former Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce called out the teams defensive coordinator and players for their inability to stop opposing offenses. They have to find those one or two defensive calls that work for you and simplify the play calling, and that starts with Perry Fewell, Pierce said. Sometimes coaches put too much in there and theres too much on the plate and obviously...
