Third And Wrong:
I really don’t understand what is going on here but, according to his Instagram account, Vernon Davis has completely lost his mind and brought a Chucky doll (from the film “Child’s Play”) to 49ers headquarters yesterday. If I’m a 49ers player, I’m probably done hanging around Vernon Davis at this point. Here are the pics, courtesy of his Instagram: [h/t Field of Teams] The post For some reason, Vernon Davis brought a Chucky doll to 49ers headquarters appeared first on Third And Wrong.

Punting has remained relatively unchanged since, well, ever. 49ers punter Andy Lee may be changing that. According to sports-kings.com through yahoosports.com Lee is working on a “knuckle-punt” which would be exactly what it sounds like. A wobbly punt that would be a punting equivalent of a knuckle ball. “It’s definitely something I want to do in a game to see how it...
Listen, I know there have been a lot (and I mean A LOT) of controversial, ignorant, and just plain idiotic tweets in the handful of years that Twitter has been a social media powerhouse but, in my opinion, the one Brian Westbrook delivered yesterday takes the cake:
What is Breaking Bad

I guess I can understand...
The San Francisco 49ers didn’t waste any time making a good impression against the San Diego Chargers in the last preseason game of the 2013 season. The final score was 41 – 6. The offense looked pretty good on the first drive. The defense was even more impressive. They were some players that made a big time push for roster spots.
Quinton Patton continued to show that he was...
Looks like the 49ers quarterback carousel has finally come to a stop:
The 49ers intend to release QB Seneca Wallace and will not play him tonight, league source says.

That Kaepernick fella will stir the drink that is the Niners offense. That leaves Colt McCoy as the back-up and seventh-rounder BJ Daniels presumably as the third-string...
Francisco 49ers’ second-year running back LaMichael James suffered a sprained
MCL during Thursday nights’ preseason finale against the San Diego Chargers,
according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. James has had a fairly
unspectacular preseason, leaving several question marks surrounding the
University of Oregon product and his No. 3 spot on the depth chart. With
Matt Barrows reports that a league source has informed him that the 49ers intend to release QB Seneca Wallace following their final preseason game.
Wallace, 33, was signed to a contract just last week, but San Francisco appears to be comfortable moving forward with Colt McCoy and rookie B.J. Daniels as Colin Kaepernick’s backup this season.
Wallace didn’t generate a lot...
The San Francisco 49ers are being crowned Super Bowl Champs in almost every preseason projection, simulations and everything you could possibly think of that has to do with predicting results. In fact the simulators say that the Niners are favored in every single game they play this season. The Niners are being talked about during the offseason like they won the Super Bowl last year...
The San Francisco 49ers will wrap up the 2013 preseason with a game in San Diego against the Chargers. This is a game where none of the starters are likely to play. Usually the last preseason game is reserved for the guys at the bottom of the roster. For some of them, this is the last opportunity to show what they have. The preseason gives fringe roster players a chance to get some...
The Packers and 49ers are two of the best teams in the NFL and face off opening weekend, this is a great game for the fans.
After postings a record of 164-92 last season, I'm ready to breakthrough to 70% this season.
Here's an early look at Week 1.
Ravens @ Broncos - Denver wins at home behind Manning and a solid defense.
Vikings @ Lions - Detroit wins....
