Former Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders has already made visits with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills since his release on February 18th. Now, the former Defensive Player of the Year can add another team to that list–the New York Jets.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Sanders visited with the Jets on Wednesday. New York established a reputation for themselves last season as a team willing to bring on just about any player they believe can help them reach the Super Bowl–including LaDainian Tomlinson and Jason Taylor. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if they decided to make an offer to Sanders considering he’s proven to be one of the best safeties in the NFL when healthy.
Unfortunately, staying healthy hasn’t been easy for Sanders over the last three seasons considering he’s played in just nine games since 2008. The main reason why Indianapolis released Sanders was because of money ($5.5 million base salary in 2001), but if he...
