It’s been an incredibly busy week for former coaches of the Philadelphia Eagles.
First, Mike Groh has returned to the NFC East after taking the WR Coaching job with the New York Giants.

Groh was the Eagles receivers coach in 2017 and was given a lot of praise for the development of Nelson Agholor , and introduction of Alshon Jeffery to the team. He was then promoted to offensive coordinator in 2018 when Frank Reich left for Indianapolis.
Groh was fired after two disappointing seasons in 2020 after much speculation. After his departure, he spent 2021 with the Colts as their WR Coach.
Groh was not the only former offensive assistant who was able to find a new job today either.
Former passing game coordinator Press Taylor was name offensive coordinator under Doug Pederson’s staff in Jacksonville.
The #Jaguars agreed to terms with Press Taylor as their offensive coordinator, source said.

The 34-year-old Taylor — brother of #Bengals coach Zac Taylor, and the guy who culled the “Philly Special” — reunites with Doug Pederson in Jacksonville.
Taylor was not a popular coach towards the end of his tenure with the Eagles. Many fans wanted to see a true experienced offensive coordinator, while Doug Pederson wanted to retain and promote Taylor.
It has been reported that Taylor was one of the main reasons Pederson looked to part ways in Philadelphia.
Both Taylor and Groh were coaches that had fallen out of favor with the fans of Philly, but were able to land on their feet and Indy and now in New York and Jacksonville respectively.
