Stroud played his first seven NFL seasons in Jacksonville.
Former Jaguars defensive tackle Marcus Stroud was cut by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week.
Stroud, who was the Jaguars first-round pick in the 2001 NFL draft, played the first seven years of his pro career in Jacksonville. Most of those years he was paired with John Henderson and made life for opposing offenses difficult.
In his time in Jacksonville, Stroud was selected to three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2003-2005.
The Jaguars traded Stroud to the Bills following the 2007 season, a season in which he was suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s banned substances policy.
Stroud struggled in his three seasons in Buffalo, but his struggles became more evident this past season when the Bills decided to switch to a 3-4 defense.
