Jim Rogash/Getty ImagesMatt Light recently had to walk away from the game of football, but the former New England Patriots offensive tackle will still be connected as he looks to head to ESPN and be an analyst.
According to the Dayton Daily News, the 34-year-old near towards finalizing a contract with the company. With that, he’ll join former Patriots teammate Tedy Bruschi on the set.
“I’m working with ESPN right now trying to finalize a contract,” Light said. “I want to see how that goes. Football has been a big part of my life – for the majority of my life – and the TV stuff would help me keep one foot in the door of that world and have some fun with it, too.”
Light has done very well with the media and could be an actual analyst unlike others on ESPN. It looks to be an easy transition for Light and I think he’ll do a swell job on there.
Best of luck on your new career, Matt!
