Former Redskins QB Donovan McNabb told CSN Philadelphia that the Redskins are brainwashing RGIII (courtesy of Lehigh Valley Live) We’ve all heard about the now ongoing story between head coach Mike Shanahan and Robert Griffin III in the past few days regarding RGIII’s return from knee surgery. But for former Redskins QB Donovan McNabb there seems to be an underlying issue that most people aren’t seeing; Robert Griffin III is being brainwashed.   In a recent interview with GQ, RGIII said had this to say about McNabb’s comments: “I don’t think Donovan is an idiot by any means.  But right now, it’s probably best we don’t talk.”   So how did the former Eagles, Redskins, and Vikings coach respond? “I’m just trying to help him, but clearly the young generation think they have all the answers.  And he’s going through a little turmoil right now of trying to get out on the field. And it’s unfortunate, but that’s where we’re at right now as far as these young quarterbacks who think they have all the answers…  I honestly think that over there in Washington, he’s getting brainwashed McNabb also had this to say regarding the issue: “I hope the best for the young man, but the direction he’s going in is really a direction he does not want to do. He does not want to go there with me.”   Bold words Mr. McNabb, RGIII looks forward to ramming them down your throat!  Look he may have been some sort of Donovan McNabb (seen here with the Eagles) (courtesy of CBS Sports) Randall Cunningham-incarnate when he was in Philly, and yeah maybe he lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl with T.O. but the fact of the matter is that he didn’t win that game. When he came to Washington, he was nothing short of horrible! Yes you Mr. McNabb had his differences with Mike Shanahan while he was here but that doesn’t mean that he should try to start trouble with RGIII, getting him to think that he’s being brainwashed. If anything Donovan, its YOU who are brainwashing RGIII by telling him he’s brainwashed! He’s got a good thing going right now. He lead them to the Playoffs, something that McNabb never did. He throws better than McNabb, he runs better than McNabb and yes he graced the cover of GQ while McNabb had to settle for a little story in GQ and a Campbell’s Chunky Soup commercial. It’s ok Donovan. It was a nice of you reminding us NFL fans that you’re still around and we congratulate you on your nephew getting drafted by the Edmonton Oilers, but please spare us your psychobabble bull crap about how RGIII is being brainwashed by the Redskins. You sir have officially turned yourself into the ex who can’t get over the breakup. Its OVER! Move on! Mr. Griffin III appreciates the help but I think he’s got it under control.   Be sure to follow us on Twitter for all your DC Sports needs @DCSportsKings @DCsMikeyP   Related Articles:  Redskins fan decks out yard for favorite team RG3 one step closer to being back in action
