According to Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, former Saints safety Steve Gleason was taken to the hospital during tonight’s Saints – Eagles game. Gleason has been battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) over the past few years.  At this point we’re not sure the reason for him being rushed the hospital. Miller said Gleason is currently resting and alert at Ochsner hospital, according to his wife Michele Gleason. Gleason attended Gleason Gras yesterday in New Orleans to raise money for ALS. It sounds like Gleason will be just fine.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = ''+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";
