According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, the agent of San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson has told him that his client won’t be getting a long-term contract.
Goldson will now play out the 2012 season under the franchise tag. Then his reps can sit back down with the 49ers after the regular season and get back to the negotiating table if they choose to.
