Let the fantasy chaos begin again. Fred Jackson has practiced all week long and, barring a setback, is expected to return to action in Indianapolis this week. I am typically cautious when it comes to activating players in your fantasy lineup after a concussion, but this seems like a great week to return to the field. The Colts have an average run defense at best, and the Bills figure to pound the rock in an effort to keep Andrew Luck on the sidelines. CJ Spiller has done nothing to lose touches, so I expect him to lead the backfield (roughly a 3:2 ratio, with the upside of a 2:1 ratio). But Jackson is the better short yardage runner, meaning that Jackson’s carries could come in the redzone. Spiller is the safer back this week, but don’t automatically bench Jackson, as he figures to get his share of opportunities to produce. Jackson has scored 3 touchdowns in his last three road games, with all three of those games coming against teams that give up fewer fantasy points per week to opposing running backs.

The Bills are just another NFL team in need of a QB. Week 12 preview.

Add the Bills to the list of teams that have to evaluate their QB situation this offseason. After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day.  For the season that makes it 106-57.  I'm still in striking distance of .750 for the season. Let's take a look at week 12. Minnesota at Chicago - The Vikings are coming off their bye week to face a...

Random jerseys and sports costumes at the Buffalo Turkey Trot

Yesterday was Buffalo’s 117th annual Turkey Trot five mile run and it’s customary for people to dress up in costumes like it’s Halloween. Naturally I was on alert for any random jersey and sports themed costumes. As usual sports nation did not disappoint as there was plenty of goodness for me to capture. Say hello to the Buffalo Hockey Guys who gave homage to Slapshot and...

Ryan Fitzpatrick Struggles vs. Colts

Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has only thrown six touchdown passes over his last seven games after tossing 12 in the first four.Fantasy Spin:Fitzpatrick only had 180 yards with one score and one pick Sunday against the Colts, the fourth time in the last eight games he's finished with less than 200 yards passing.

Fantasy Football Advice: Start CJ Spiller Week 12

CJ Spiller currently boasts 723 rushing yards and 336 receiving yards in the first 10 games of the NFL  season, and matches up this week with the weak Indianapolis Colts' defense. So far, Spiller has put up 124 fantasy points in ESPN.com leagues, which is 6th among all running backs. For a player that has had a couple of injuries this season, those are pretty darn good numbers...

Fitzpatrick comes up short in Bills' loss to Colts

The Buffalo Bills' defense sacked Andrew Luck four times, picked him off once and held the Colts' run game to 3 yards a carry. Also, Buffalo's ground game gained 5.9 yards of its own. The Bills just needed Ryan Fitzpatrick to deliver. And he didn't. Fitzpatrick missed a pair of would-be touchdown passes in the first half and was inaccurate for most of the game, yet...

Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts: Week 12 NFL Pick

Buffalo Bills (4-6) at Indianapolis Colts (6-4) I’ve called Indianapolis a perpetually underrated team all year. Starting week 2, they were home dogs for Minnesota, 3 point home favorites for Jacksonville, touchdown home dogs for the Packers, 3.5 point road dogs against the Jets, 1 point home favorites for Cleveland, 3.5 point road dogs against the Titans, home dogs for Miami,...

Week 12 AFC East game picks: Bills at Colts

Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the Buffalo Bills' road contest against the Indianapolis Colts. Nick's take: Bills tailback C.J. Spiller is slated for a big day against a Colts run defense that gives up way too many big scampers. Ryan Fitzpatrick will be good enough, and Buffalo's rushing attack will limit...

Week 11 – Buffalo Bills vs Indianapolis Colts

One of the more entertaining games of the early slate of games, if you like offense, will be the (4-6) Bills taking on the (6-4) Colts. This game has wild card implications for both squads as Buffalo is looking to get in, while Indianapolis is looking to cushion their lead. It features two of the games more explosive offenses, with both teams being able to move the ball down the...
