ESPN reports that longtime Titan center Kevin Mawae is not happy about the Titans lack of communication if they want him back in anyway:
Free agent veteran center Kevin Mawae understands if the Tennessee Titans want to move on without him. But he’s wondering what he has to do to get his agent’s phone calls returned by the team. Mawae, a 16-year veteran and president of the NFL Players Association, said coach Jeff Fisher promised him a roster spot in the spring. He said he’s wondering if Fisher and general manager Mike Reinfeldt are on the same page, according to The Tennessean of Nashville. “Jeff told me in April he guaranteed me a roster spot. Those were his exact words, ‘I guarantee that you have a roster spot.’ He said that to me twice. But apparently Jeff is not doing contracts. It would be great if the two were on the same page instead of sending me mixed signals.” Asked about Mawae, Reinfeldt said “Barring injuries, it doesn’t look good here,” according to the report.
