Not surprisingly, the Washington Redskins backfield mess has been the subject of a significant number of Twitter questions this week. Part of me wants to redirect all of these inquiries to @YahooNoise — he's the one guru who actually seems to like this latest Shanahan pileup — but that would not be fair to him. So I've been answering your Ryan Torain and Tim Hightower questions, though I've done it without much enthusiasm.
Hightower was a limited participant in Friday's practice (shoulder issue). There's talk that he'll remain the starter for Washington, although there's no reason to expect him to be the finisher. Torain is coming off a 135-yard rushing performance at St. Louis, and, for a week, he's the Washington back I'd prefer to own. But that should not be considered an endorsement of this committee.
Here's the way I'd approach Torain, if I'd invested in him...

Well, I just started up something new for the blog network of All Pro Sports, and it is All Pro Sports TV, where I cover sports topics via video. I'll still dish out blog posts for you guys, but this is something I'd like to share in our first episode of All-Pro Sports. In this episode, I discuss Tim Tebow becoming starter of the Denver Broncos. Take a look and I hope you...
Joe Amon, The Denver PostConnie Donoho, of Van Nuys, Calif., came to 58th and Logan to take pictures of the Tim Tebow billboard.
Tebowmania goes well beyond that lady posing next to the billboard on I-25. It’s not confined to Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The cheering can be heard, not just in LoDo, but in Midtown Manhattan.
Google Tim Tebow and you find a smorgasbord of...
Hulk Hogan may be a washed up figure in the sports world, but the guy can still bring the A+ game when it comes to smack talk. Visiting with the SportsNation crew at ESPN Wednesday, the Hulkster cut a promo where he went all WWF on Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. This brings me back to [...]
Chandler: Don't write off Tim Tebow as an NFL quarterback just yet. Soon he might be winning games for the Broncos and starring in the next Die Hard. Seriously.
The Tim Tebow Era has begun in Denver. The former Heisman Trophy winner was named the Broncos starting QB this week, amid much public discourse and debate about his odd-ball throwing motion and whatever else the public wants to slam Tebow about.
His fans were relentless, essentially shouting for him to start and even erecting a billboard. Now, he can resume on the front lines, just...
So much has been said, written or typed in all caps throughout cyberspace about what would — or wouldn't — happen if Tim Tebow were the Broncos' starting quarterback, there has been a composed, no-nonsense voice hidden amid the noise.
John Leyba, The Denver PostBroncos QB Tim Tebow, left, amassed 117 total yards Sunday against the Chargers.
Which team leads the NFL in total yards with 495.2 per game? Not the Denver Broncos, who enter their bye this weekend with an average of 303.6 total yards per game — good for 25th in the league. It’s the New England Patriots who are the NFL’s leaders not only in total...
We interrupt our regularly scheduled local programming to bring you an update from Denver, Colorado, where head coach John Fox has made the unlikely move of installing Tim Tebow as the Denver Broncos' new starting quarterback. It's hard for me to believe Fox has done this, but I believe he must have felt painted into a corner. I've kept up with what the nine-year Panther...
Broncos fans got their wish with Tim Tebow but what about fantasy GMs? Is Eli Manning an "elite QB" ? Can Gore Be Trusted? These answers plus Calvin Johnson Fun Facts in this Week's Fantasy Focus.
From what I’ve heard, the Broncos have so far received nothing more than a seventh-round draft pick for receiver Brandon Lloyd.
Understandably, the Broncos have rejected such proposals. They could do worse than keep Lloyd for new quarterback Tim Tebow. Consider this: Without Lloyd, defenses will stack the box with eight or nine defenders against Tebow, knowing he doesn’t have...
