To the chagrin of the Jets faithful of Long Island, Gang Green moved to Florham Park, NJ last August to reestablish the organization’s moxy with a state-of-the-art facility that tops most around the league. The green and white were back today in Hempstead, NY in a good-faith effort to connect with town it called home for most of its history. Fans were out in droves (around 6,500) to see the Jets run around James Shuart Stadium and give Hempstead a taste of what they once had. “I miss them but they needed a better facility,” Sal Magnetta of Oyster Bay said. “An NFL team needs a better field to practice on; not a soccer field.” But not all fans were happy about the move.
