The Jaguars sit at 1-3 heading into today's game. A win heading into the bye week could get them back on track, and more importantly, back into contention for the coming wildcard race. A loss would continue the Jaguars' downward spiral. Here's your five things to watch in today's game. 1) Rush the passer: The Jaguars have recorded two sacks on defense this season, good enough for dead last in the league. The Bears have a suspect offensive line to say the least. There should be opportunities to get to Jay Cutler, and the Jaguars have to make good on those chances. To quote our old favorite, Vic Ketchman, "The quarterback must go down, and he must go down hard." 2) Capitalize on the Bears' mistakes: Getting to Jay Cutler is only half of the story. If the pressure starts getting home early, expect Cutler to start to force passes. The Jaguars fumbled an early interception away, and Mathis dropped another potential pick-six in the Bengals o...

Jay Cutler: A Rex Grossman with an ego

Chicago Bears Jay Cutler has been hard to pinpoint what is wrong with him or define what type of quarterback he is. Cutler is inconsistent and quite frankly plays poorly in the worst situations. Cutler had one 4,000 yard season and everyone just believes the Bears are one year away from getting to that milestone. One more year and Cutler will finally be ‘Elite’ as everyone say...

If the Jaguars can't pressure Jay Cutler, they can't pressure anyone

This Sunday's matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars is an interesting game. Both teams sport stellar defenses, although the Bears certainly have the advantage on that side of the ball, and both teams tend to struggle moving the ball on offense. Again, the Bears have the advantage on offense to, however. The Jaguars sit at 1-3 and looking for...

The Jaguars lose a blowout to the Bears, 41-3

Oh, that's not good. That's not good at all. The Jaguars went in to halftime today tied with the Bears at 3 to 3. The final score? 41 to 3 in favor of the Bears. That shouldn't happen, ever. Heading into the bye week, the Jaguars now sit at 1-4, and it would suddenly take a small miracle for the team to claw its way back into the playoff discussion. At this point...

Cutler vs Romo: Who is the bigger enigma?

Denver, CO. The NFL in 2012, without a doubt, is a QB-driven league more than ever before. To be a successful team in this day and age, a high quality signal caller is essential to be considered a viable contender each and every year. The rules have been altered over the years to benefit offenses, so a quarterback with precise accuracy or a rocket arm often times vaults certain...

Blaine Gabbert, Jaguars crushed by Bears

Jags have deep hole to dig selves out of

Coming off a dominating performance in prime time, the Chicago Bears defense could be in for another big effort against a team that might have the worst offense in the NFL. The visiting Bears look for a third consecutive victory as they face the offensively challenged Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Though Chicago's offense has been inconsistent in 2012, its defense has a league...
