We're a little late to the party, but I couldn't pass up a shot at a pseudo swear-word headline.Saturday, the New York Jets re-signed kicker Nick Folk, who spent his last three seasons with Gang Green before hitting free agency earlier this month. Folk wasn't spectacular in 2012, but he wasn't terrible. He recorded a 21-of-27 field goal make-rate, with his longest 3-pointer coming 54 yards out.The seventh-year veteran had good hang time on his kickoffs last year, but four of every five of them were returned, which wasn't good enough.I wrote last month that if Folk were to come back, he'd more than likely have to win the job in training camp like he did last year over Josh Brown. Mike Westhoff, who loves him some kicker and punter competitions, called it a career after 2012, but his protege in Ben Kotwica will pick up where Westhoff left off in that regard.Follow Nick @NickStDenisFollow AFC East Daily @AFCEastDaily

He spent his first three NFL seasons with Dallas. The team announced the move...

In the end it looks like Darrelle Revis may get what he always wanted, to stay in New York. Why is anyone’s guess.

Since day one of the off-season Darrelle Revis said he wanted to stay with the New York Jets. Why a corner-back with his talents want to remain in the big Apple is anyone’s guess, there are plenty of teams in the NFL that could have benefited from Revis’s talents. Many of them would have probably extended his contract to make him an even richer man. Revis always said he didn’t...

Sighting: Mark Sanchez at Encore Beach Club

Can you find me T? New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was spotted partying in a cabana during opening day of Encore Beach Club’s spring preview with a mix of 10 lady and guy friends. Though Sanchez was seen drinking just Fiji water and noshing on snacks from EBC Grille, Belvedere and Red Bull cocktails was the libation of choice for his pals at the opulent dayclub in Encore...

Jets owner open to Revis offers

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson says the team is open to listening to trade offers for Darrelle Revis, but adds that the star cornerback is not being shopped around. Johnson tells reporters at the NFL meetings Sunday that the Jets would like to keep Revis, the subject of rampant trade rumors, ''but we're trying to make the team better. He's on the team right now...

Arena football team wants Tim Tebow

The Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League would love to have Jets’ quarterback Tim Tebow. Predators’ owner Brett Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel that he’d love to have Tebow on his team. “Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we’d love to have him,” Bouchy said, per ESPNNewYork.com. “I think he would definitely improve...

New York Jets Sign Linebacker Antwan Barnes

The New York Jets bolstered their pass rush and improved their currently shaky depth at outside linebacker by signing former San Diego Charger Antwan Barnes. This has been a long rumored move as Barnes has experience in Rex Ryan’s defense from the 2007 and 2008 season when both were in Baltimore. The Jets had expressed interest in Barnes in previous years but were never able to...

Jets rumors: New York willing to listen on Darrelle Revis

Owner Woody Johnson told reporters yesterday that he would be open to re-signing Revis, while he also acknowledged that the team would be willing to listen to offers for the All-Pro. General manager John Idzik told reporters, including Jim Corbett of USA Today, that the Jets...

Bucs players can’t talk with Darrelle Revis

The Buccaneers appear to be inching closer to a deal with the New York Jets for cornerback Darrelle Revis. Some reports already have the Bucs penciled in as having a deal in place to offer Revis which seems logical. Many have even suggested that Revis is aware of this said deal. However, with the league’s anti-tampering rules, it can not be the Bucs front office that reaches out...

As an Orlando Predator, Tim Tebow would have another chance to quiet his critics

Expected to soon be axed by the New York Jets, the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League have a “contract waiting for” embattled quarterback Tim Tebow. The 25-year-old Tebow, who the Denver Broncos took out of the University of Florida with the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, has thrown 17 touchdowns, against nine interceptions, for 2,422 yards in 14 starts...

Bucs considering first round pick for Darrelle Revis

It appears the Bucs may be upping the ante on possible trade offers to the New York Jets. The speculation of the Buccaneers offering a second and a fourth round pick or a second this year and a potential first next season may no longer be an option.   To be clear, Bucs won’t rule out using a first round pick for Revis. No offer made, undecided at this point. Would consider it...

Jeffrey Lurie: Philadelphia will push for Super Bowl if New York goes well

The Super Bowl has traditionally been held in a city with warm weather, or at least been played in a dome when it’s been in a cold city. But that’s about to change next year when the Super Bowl will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey — an outdoor stadium which serves as the home field for the New York Jets and Giants. Philadelphia Eagles owner/chairman Jeffrey Lurie...

Woody Johnson Says Jets Haven't 'Seen The Best Of' QB Mark Sanchez Yet

The big news coming out of Woody Johnson's meeting with the media Sunday evening at the 2013 NFL owners meetings was his unspoken willingness to trade superstar cornerback Darrelle Revis. But Johnson also threw his confidence behind embattled starting quarterback Mark Sanchez. Johnson was asked if Sanchez is "the guy" at quarterback for the Jets, and he said, "...

Tim Tebow to the Arena League?

If Dennis Rodman can hang out with Kim Jong Un in North Korea while watching a basketball game then Tim Tebow can play in the Arena League. Come on! Crazier things have happened, right? Right? Apparently the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League have offered the beleaguered quarterback a job should he become available and can't find any suitors in the...

Tim Tebow practices with fans in Tampa

By ANDREW ASTLEFORD FOX Sports Florida TAMPA, Fla. His stakes were low, his field was small and some of his targets were tiny, but there Tim Tebow stood, throwing a football before a crowd with smart phones at the ready.
