The New York Giants (4-2) beat the San Francisco 49ers (4-2) 26-3, yesterday evening at Candelstick Park from San Francisco, CA. Big Blue's defense worked hard understading what Alex Smith's weakness's were and they find out right away by forcing him to throw three INTS and scaking him six times. This was the must complete game all-around this season for the Giants on offense and defense. Ahmad Bradshaw on offense had another good game back-to-back times for running over 100 plus yards. Tom Coughlin coached a great game as well and sticking to Jim Harbaugh who had awful coaching day. This was the type of game where the Giants get motivated when everybody in the word picks against them. The Giants showed they can beat anybody regardless who they play in their upcoming games. Game Stats: Passing Eli Manning didn't have to do to much as went 15 for 28 for 193 passing yards and threw one TD pass. Rushing Ahmad Bradshaw had another great game once again by getting 27 carries for 116 rushing yards and scored a rushing TD. David Wilson is gaining confidence running the football when he had 7 carries for 35 rushing yards. Receiving Victor Cruz had another salsa dance on display by scoring a 6 yard TD pass from Eli Manning in the 2nd quarter. Overall he ahd 6 catches for 58 yards and scored a TD. Dominek Hixon is proving to be a very good replacement for Mario Manningham who is on the 49ers. Overall Hixon had 4 catches for 78 yards. Hakeem Nicks returned from his injury and hasn't played since week 2. He had 3 receptions for 44 yards. Special Teams: Lawrence Tynes went 4 for 5 on field goals. Defense Antrel Rolle caught two INT's. Prince Amukamara caught an INT as well. Jason Pierre-Paul finally has a big game by getting two sacks. Adrian Tracy recorded his first sack of his NFL career. Linval Joseph had one sack. Mathias Kiwanuka had one sack. Jacquian Williams had one sack as well. Offense/Defense The Giants offense had 19 first downs, 342 total yards, went 5 for 15 on 3rd down conversions and didn't turn the ball over once. The Giants defense held the 49ers to 14 first downs, a total of 314 yards, forced three INT's, got six sacks and didn't allow a TD. Final Thoughts Entering this game against the 49ers who had won their last two games by outscoring the Jets and Bills by a combined points of 79-3. It was the other way around facing the Giants. New York crush San Francisco 26-3, even though the final score isn't a sexy score. Still, the Giants went into San Francisco and picked on the 49ers in front of their fans. It was a fun game to watch if you were a Giants fan including myself. Week 7 (Oct 21st) - The New York Giants will host the Washington Redskins Sunday afternoon in MetLife Stadium at 1:00 pm on FOX (TV) and WFAN (Radio).
