New York Giants rookie defensive tackle Markus Kuhn is out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL, the New York Daily News reported Monday. Kuhn was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of the Giants' 31-6 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Kuhn, a native of Germany who was drafted in the seventh-round out of North Carolina State, had filled in as the Giants have been depleted by injuries at defensive tackle. Chris Canty missed the first six weeks of the season after knee surgery and Rocky Bernard has missed four games with an injured quad. Marvin Austin, who has struggled since being drafted in the second round in 2010, will play in place of Kuhn.
