One week after routing the Saints, the Giants were given a taste of their own medicine. Big Blue was blown out by the Falcons on Sunday, 34-0, the team's first shutout loss since 1996. To defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka, the defeat goes far beyond the box score. "That's embarrassing not just to us," Kiwanuka said, via Newsday, "but to anybody who's ever worn a Giant decal on their hat or shirt or anything like that." Head coach Tom Coughlin echoed those thoughts, calling the outcome "devastating." And it was. At 8-6, the Giants are now muddled in a three-way tie for first in the NFC East. Technically, they've been overtaken by the white-hot Redskins, and are another loss away from blowing a wildcard spot to the surging Cowboys. While they still control their own destroy over the final two weeks -- win and they're in -- New York's path to the postseason isn't going to be easy. In Week 16, they'll hit the road...

  • I had a bad feeling about this game, but never expected my GMen to get shut out and play as poorly as they did. Gotta give credit to the Falcons, they essentially shut the critics up but good with this signature win. It's not so much the loss that hurts, it's the fact that we don't control our own destiny the rest of the way. Still a huge fan though....GO GIANTS!!!!

Angry Tom Coughlin Is My Favorite Tom Coughlin

If you’ve followed the career of New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, you would know that he has had to constantly work on his angry issues.  He can change from being a grumpy old man to a lovable Grandpa, in a split second.  His players have expressed that they enjoy playing for the kinder and gentler Coughlin but as a fan, I love angry Tom. Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants: Week 15 NFL Pick

New York Giants (8-5) at Atlanta Falcons (11-2) Every year in the Tom Coughlin era, the Giants have a 2nd half slide.
