The Giants took a step closer to becoming more complete on Tuesday as right guard Chris Snee and cornerback Terrell Thomas were removed from the physically unable to perform list. Both players will hit the field this afternoon to participate in their first practice of training camp. They missed the first eight practices of camp. Snee is coming off hip surgery to correct a problem that bothered him most of last season and he said bothered him for several years. He’s said he feels better now than he has in a while and hopes the surgery will give him greater range of motion. He will return to his right guard spot which was manned by James Brewer in his absence. Thomas is coming off two reconstructive surgeries in his right knee in the past year. He no doubt will be brought along slowly as he attempts yet another comeback. Last summer coming off a torn ACL Thomas did not make it out of the first week of camp before re-tearing his right ACL which previously had been torn for the first time back in 2005 when he was USC. This time the Giants will make sure Thomas can handle a return to football activities without putting too much of a strain on the repaired knee. The Giants re-signed Thomas 28 this past spring hoping he can return to a semblance of the form that made him a rising star in 2009 and 2010 when he combined for 10 interceptions as a starting cornerback. He hasn’t played since the 2010 season missing the entire 2011 and 2012 seasons. If all goes well the Giants would like to use Thomas as a fourth or fifth cornerback and possibly give him some work at safety. DE Jason Pierre-Paul (back) FB Henry Hynoski (knee) and DT Markus Kuhn (knee) remain on PUP.
