The Giants were once again unable to put together a full game against the Eagles, resulting in yet another heartbreaking loss to them.  The Giants have lost nine of the last 10 games against the Eagles including the playoffs.  Some questionable decisions and poor execution led to the Giants dropping to 0-2 in the NFC East and 2-2 overall.   Passing Offense Grade: C+   Eli Manning’s stats look good on the game, throwing for 309 yards and two touchdowns and having the Giants in a position to win at the end of the game.  Manning was hit a few times, but the offensive line protected him enough to not give up any sacks.  Victor Cruz stepped up in the absence of Hakeem Nicks and his replacement Domenik Hixon was huge.    If the whole game went like that, the grade would be much higher; sadly it did not.  Manning threw a back-breaking interception to start the fourth quarter with the Giants knocking on the Eagles goal line.  He also mad a poor decision on the offensive pass interference ca...

New York Giants rookie Rueben Randle ready to step up after teammates call him out

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Rueben Randle has come under some criticism after last week's game. Some, including fellow wide receiver Victor Cruz, have questioned his work ethic and maturity level. But after injuries suffered by starter Hakeem Nicks (knee) and Ramses Barden (concussion), Randle may get his chance this Sunday against the Browns to prove his head is in...

New York Giants dominated by injuries: More from an afternoon tea with Tom Coughlin

An unhappy Tom Coughlin took the podium on Wednesday afternoon for his weekly press conference, and his message was clear: "2-2 is 2-2 and not where we hoped to be. But it's done. It's over. It's time to move on." And move on he did, right into the vast sea of New York Giants injuries that grew yet again this week. There were several new additions to the growing...

Giants Injury Report: Hakeem Nicks, Ramses Barden

Question marks continue to surround New York Giants wide receivers, as Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden each missed practice yesterday. Nicks continued to be sidelined by injuries to his knee and foot, while Barden was still feeling the effects of a concussion he suffered during a Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Nicks is reportedly moving better on his...

Another NY Giant Loss? WR Barden Questionable for Game With Concussion

In a surprising addition to the injury report today, the Giants announced the WR Ramses Barden suffered a concussion in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday. With the health of WR Hakeem Nicks already in question, and the secondary losing players like, well, like they do every year, can they overcome another key injury?  Losing key players at the beginning of the season seems...

The LeSean McCoy/Osi Umenyiora Feud is Over?

Well looks like the fun we had last week over this feud is already over according to LeSean McCoy. “We crossed paths a couple times, we gave each other the eye,” McCoy said on the SportsRadio WIP Player’s Lounge show on Monday. “In the warmups, we looked at each other funny. I think after the game, it’s time to get over this Osi and LeSean thing because after the game...

Giants OT David Diehl Returns, C David Bass, OG Chris Snee Out At Practice

Right tackle David Diehl was back on the practice field today, taking a limited number of reps, for the first time since spraining his MCL in Week 2 against the Buccaneers. But the Giants still worked without two starting offensive linemen: center David Baas (hand) and right guard Chris Snee (hip). While practice was open to the media, Baas watched position drills from the side...

Week 5 NY Giants vs Cleveland Browns Preview

TweetWeek 5 has the 2-2 New York Giants facing the 0-4 Cleveland Browns. After a very disappointing loss in week 4 versus the Eagles the GMEN have an "easy" (note the quotes) game. This should be an opportunity for New York to get back on track. Last week in my preview I stressed that the Giants were going to find it difficult to win if they did not contain Vick. Unfortunately...

Another Giants receiver could be out against Browns

Earlier in the week we talked about the likelihood of Hakeem Nicks suiting up for the Giants. Now his replacement, Ramses Barden, might be doubtful too with a concussion. “He complained of a headache and asked if he could be evaluated,” Coughlin said, via the team. “They sent him for the evaluation yesterday. I think a lot of the symptoms were okay, but there was enough there...

Browns Coach Pat Shurmur Says He Expects Challenge From Eli Manning & The Giants He Needs A Drug Test!!!

Shurmur says he expects a challenge from the New York Giants and their quarterback Eli Manning. A Challenge? Really, is Shurmur for real? The New York Giants out class the Cleveland Browns by a mile or two. The Browns will do great to be able to hang with the Giants in this game. This isn’t going to be the worn out Ravens, this is the defending World Champion New York Giants with...

LeSean McCoy says he is ready to move past his feud with Osi Umenyiora

Bad news for the blog world: LeSean McCoy doesn’t have anything negative left to say about Osi Umenyiora. Following the Eagles victory over the Giants on Sunday night, McCoy says he tried to bury the hatchet with Umenyiora.“We crossed paths a couple times, we gave each other the eye,” McCoy said on SportsRadio WIP Monday according to CBS Philly. “In the warmups, we looked...

Cleveland Browns (0-4) at New York Giants (2-2)

Cleveland Browns (0-4) at New York Giants (2-2) In my weekly Power Rankings, I had the Browns in last for the 3rd straight week, but I didn’t feel comfortable about. Yes, the Browns are one of two remaining 0-4 teams and compared to the other one, New Orleans, they’re much less likely to turn things around. They’re the only 0-4 team that isn’t really a surprise. Everyone...
