Giants vs Panthers Preseason Opener Thoughts

The Giants have not been on the field for seven months. The bad taste is still in their mouths following the playoff loss to the Eagles earlier this year. Time to hit someone else for the first time this season...let's do this!BEAUTIFUL first return by Mario Manningham following a three and out by the Giants defense which featured a nice defensive play by Kevin Dockery. Super Mario takes the return up the sideline for a 21 yard gain. That is encouraging to see!Both starting guards are out. That's fine, just get Seubert and Snee healthy. Also out are receiver Steve Smith, corners Aaron Ross and Corey Webster and defensive linema Chris Canty. Eli Manning with a beautiful third and five conversion to Mario Manningham, but it is called back.
