The Giants open the 2009 season at home on Sunday in the Meadowlands against the hated Washington Redskins. I am excited to be in the stands for this one, which should be a defensive slugfest. Here are the keys to victory for Big Blue: When the Giants have the ball: Establish the Run: There is no doubt that the Giants are a run first team lead by battering ram Brandon Jacobs and the explosive Ahmad Bradshaw. The Redskins have a solid run defense and they will be even better this season with the addition of 350lb defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth. The Giants need to do what they do best, let Brandon Jacobs wear the defense down and punish the defense, then bring in the speedy Bradshaw to finish them off. Also, there is no way Haynesworth is in game shape yet, tire him out.
