Yeah the Dallas Cowboys beat the St. Louis Rams as expected. Who hasn’t beaten the Rams this year, I mean really? Problem is they did it in a way that no one expected them to. With Felix Jones sitting out the game due to injury the Cowboys weren’t expected to lean as hard on their running game as they did Sunday. I mean they haven’t really leaned on it very often this season anyway. Why start now, especially after losing your starting running back? Who knew that the key to the Cowboys rushing woes had been languishing on their own bench? Tashard Choice got the start but rookie DeMarco Murray had the big day producing the best rushing performance ever by a Cowboys’ running back. Murray’s first carry of the game went for 91 yards and a score. After that, the Cowboys would bench Choice allowing Murray to carry the load for them and he didn’t disappoint either. He ended the day with 253 yards rushing, setting a new Cowboys’ record. Now sure it came against the league’s worst run defense but it was still impressive none the less.
