Chicago Bears rookie linebacker Jon Bostic has made his fair share of errors through the first two preseason games, but the club’s second round selection (No. 50 overall) has also jumped on the screen on multiple occasions. He made his presence felt again when he laid a momentous hit on San Diego Chargers wide receiver Mike Willie to force an incompletion in the third quarter of Thursday night’s contest. “Obviously, it was a big hit,” Bostic said, via ESPN Chicago. “We were trying to take the ball away, that’s the main thing. I kind of read it kind of quick because of something we had on up front. It was a big hit. But we were trying to take the ball out, but we didn’t get it.” The 6-1, 245-pound product out of Florida finished the game with two tackles (one solo) and a pass deflection.  Bostic, 22, also racked up a pair of tackles and an interception that he returned for a 51-yard touchdown in the preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers.
