Coach Jim Zorn announced after practice today that Hunter Smith will likely not be active for this weekend's game, and the team plans to sign Glenn Pakulak from the practice squad to the active roster. Pakulak apparently impressed enough during his week of practice that he'll be handling the punting and holding duties; Zorn declined to reveal who would be released from the active roster to make room for the move. When Pakulak was signed, he seemed enthusiastic to be getting another look in the NFL; if possible, he seemed more enthusiastic with today's news. "I'm just excited to be here, excited to see what I can do," Pakulak said, "and to help the team out as much as I can as long as I'm here. Really excited about it."
