Gold Rush: Are The San Francisco 49ers For Real?

After two straight wins against division foes, the 49ers are alone atop the NFC West with a sterling record of 2-0. They dispatched the reigning NFC Champions in Week 1 in the desert and then the only other undefeated team in the Division, the Seattle Seahawks. Without a doubt, this season shows promise but then again so did 2005; which was the last time the 49ers entered Week 3 with a record of 2-0, and preceded to lose a horrific eight consecutive contests and eight of their last 11 games to finish 5-11. San Francisco registered 10 points or fewer four times and were outscored 190-76 during that span. While their next eight opponents have combined to go a paltry 8-7 in the first two weeks of the season, allow me to spell out just who those opponents are.
