This weekend, the Chargers took a big home opening win against the Tennessee Titans. The Chargers didn't let the Titans offense move whatsoever and is emerging to be one of the best defenses the team has seen in several years.

Not only did they just beat the Titans at home, but all other AFC West teams lost in their week two games.  Kansas City losing on the road to the Buffalo Bills, Oakland losing big in Miami, and Denver losing on the big stage on Monday night to Atlanta.

Not just for the simple pleasure of seeing the other teams lose, the losses of other West teams places the Bolts in the number one spot with momentum heavily in their favor. All signs are pointing to a rather weak AFC West this year (compared to years past).

For fantasy owners, QB Philip Rivers came through big time this weekend. Throwing for 284 yards and 3 touchdowns. Manyof the Charger faithful end up picking Rivers and this weekend, they should be rather pleased and excited for what is in store. Mind you, the Chargers have had this much success on offense without the help of pro bowl running back Ryan Mathews. His return will electrify this offense even further. Which is a scary thought to all opponents ahead of this team. Ryan Mathews will add the home run threat in the run game that should open up the field for Rivers to toss the ball around.

It's been a good week to be a San Diego Charger fan this week, and it may just get better.
