The Green Bay Packer first offensive team reminded fans of last season during their time on the field in Cincinnati Thursday night. Lead by the rushing of Aaron Rodgers the Green Bay Packers were able to put 17 points on the board in the first half on the way to a 27 to 13 preseason victory.

Cedric Benson did not start the game with the first unit but came into the game when the Green Bay offense came onto the field for the third time of the night. The first two touches for Cedric Benson were successful as the running back tore off runs of eight and nine yards. Cedric Benson finished his night with six carries for a total of 38 yards and added one catch for ten yards. While helping the offensive in the rushing department Benson was not the leading rusher for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers was on top with a game leading 52 yards leaving the Bengals defense behind on several running attempts.

The top receiver for the Green Bay Packers was Greg Jennings who had two catches for a total of 37 yards, one catch was a short pass where he made the defense miss a sure tackle and turned it into a 18 yard gain for the Packers. Aaron Rodgers arm was active throwing 22 passes and completing 12 for a game total of 154 yards. Rodgers also added two touchdown runs on the way to a 17 to 6 half time lead over the Bengals. Aaron Rodgers touchdown runs were for five and twelve yards. Rodgers had one pass during the first half that he would like to have back, a throw that looked like he was not on the same page of the play book with the receivers and it ended up as an interception. Besides Aaron Rodgers two touchdown runs the offense was able to score on a pair of Mason Crosby field goals. The first one was in the second quarter for 46 yards and the second came in the fourth quarter and went for 36 yards.

The area of concern for the Green Bay Packer offense was the second unit. The second unit had bad line reads which lead to broken plays and quarterback sacks. While at quarterback Graham Harrell hard a hard go over throwing a deep pass to Dale Moss in the fourth quarter and having a hand in a turn over on an earlier play. The offense had a set back with an injury to tight end Tom Crabtree which forced the second offense to use plays not prepared for this weeks game in Cincinnati.

Now it is time for the Packers to get ready for the last preseason game at Lambeau against the Kansas City Chiefs.
