Led by Aaron Rodgers, the MVP of the National League, put up more points than any team in the league last season, which meant that Packers players proved to be a gold mine for fantasy football owners. To put it simply it was a good thing to own a Packer on your fantasy team. After all, Rodgers was the top ranked player in fantasy football and others such as Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings were elite fantasy options at wide receiver. Nelson actually finished second in fantasy  points, behind only the immortal Calvin Johnson. In Point Per Reception scoring formats, Nelson finished fourth. Jennings would have easily been a top-10 receiver had he not missed the last three games of the regular season due to injury. Tight end Jermichael Finley also ranked among the top-10 at his position, while James Star...

Packers' RB Green packs potential to surprise

There are several second-year tailbacks being counted on by their respective teams to become big-time ball carriers in 2012. But few of them posted only three attempts, or gained a whopping 11 yards, as Alex Green did for the Packers in his debut season. Yet the former third-round draft choice from Hawaii, who appeared in just four games before a knee injury ended his initial...

Jaws: Aaron Rodgers is the number one quarterback in the NFL

Getty Images ESPN’s Ron Jaworski has officially named his number one quarterback in the NFL and without any surprise he chose Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. Jaworski pointed out that Rodgers displays great velocity and accuracy with his throws. “Very few quarterbacks in NFL history have had Rodgers’ exceptional combination of velocity and accuracy, elite arm strength...

Aaron Rodgers: Mr. Irrelevant in fourth quarter

Green Bay MVP Aaron Rodgers puts up elite numbers, except in one area: he consistently fails to deliver fourth-quarter comebacks. He’s so bad, in fact, that the closest comparison is Bill Kenney, Kansas City’s forgotten ’Mr. Irrelevant’ QB of the 1980s.....

Packers Training Camp Countdown: 13 Days

As a sign of respect, opposing defenses rarely blitz Aaron Rodgers — and when they do, they generally pay a price. Not only did Rodgers set a single-season record for passer rating last season, but he almost set the record for best passer rating against the blitz.
