Green Bay Packers (7-3) at New York Giants (6-4) What’s wrong with the Giants? That’s what everyone is asking. Well, they do this every year. Since Tom Coughlin took over, the Giants are 53-19 in the first 8 games of a season and 27-39 in the last 8 games of the season, including these last 2 losses. Eli Manning has been the main problem of late and not just in the 2 losses. Dating back to their two close wins over Washington and Dallas, Manning is 80 of 139 for 869 yards, 1 touchdown, and 6 interceptions in his last 4 games. Manning reportedly had a case of tired arm, which does explain why he’s struggled by his standards, but tired arm isn’t some rare thing. It’s something guys often have to deal with over the course of the season. The Giants have had a bye, but I can’t say for sure that Manning will completely turn things around and the same for the Giants as a whole, given the Giants’ history in the 2nd half in the Coughlin/Manning era. I’ve mentioned the huge disparity in recor...

The Giants need to come out of their bye clicking on offense. Week 12 preview.

Eli Manning and the Giants went into their bye week struggling.  They need to get things together on both sides of the ball if they want to make a serious run at the Super Bowl. After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day.  For the season that makes it 106-57.  I'm still in striking distance of .750 for the season. Let's take a look at week 12...

New York Giants’ Eli Manning Expects Green Bay Packers’ Defense to Be Very Aggressive on Sunday

When New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin addressed the media on Wednesday, he touched on the Green Bay Packers‘ defense and noted that they are often successfully aggressive; that despite giving up a lot of yards through the air, they frequently force turnovers. It’s something that quarterback Eli Manning has also noticed during film [...] [[ This is a content summary only...

As usual, Packers-Giants counts for a lot

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The last time the Packers and New York Giants met, all the positive moments from Green Bay's nearly perfect 15-1 regular season became relatively meaningless. The 37-20 playoff beatdown Eli Manning helped deliver on a cold mid-January afternoon at Lambeau Field continued another improbable postseason run for New York that concluded with Peyton's little...

5 reasons the NFC East can provide a Super Bowl winning team

Just past the midway point of the NFL season, many people are counting out Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Robert Griffin III, and the NFC East as a legitimate division. Arguably, it appears as if no one wants to win the division. Here’s five reasons to watch the NFC East and why that division could be the one that is represented by the NFC in the super bowl in February. 1. Parity. Ten...

New York Giants self-destruction of 2006 is bond to repeat in 2012

The 2006 season to the New York Giants may be too long ago, but to the average fan it’s becoming clear the Giants are self-destructive like they were in 2006. In 2006, the Giants got out to a 6-2 record by the midpoint of the season, but finished 2-6 for the remainder. Sure, you can doubt it as just a short term issue, but look at the remaining schedule for the Giants in 2012...
