With the new CBA pretty much setting the numbers for draft pick’s contracts, there really hasn’t been any trouble for teams signing their new players.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk plays devil’s advocate and points how guaranteed money could be an issue for the New York Giants in signing their first-round pick offensive lineman Just Pugh.
Florio points out how every player drafted in front of Pugh this year has gotten fully guaranteed contracts which is a change from the past two years since the new CBA which saw players drafted in the lower teens only get three years guaranteed.
With training camp fast approaching, I fully expect both sides to reach a deal before a couple days before the start of it.
