Fox Sports Southwest:
DALLAS Dez Bryant played two full seasons and three games of his junior year while attending Oklahoma State. The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver had his junior season prematurely ended when he was ruled ineligible after lying to the NCAA about his relationship with Deion Sanders.
Bryant's coach at OSU, Mike Gundy, was asked Tuesday about Bryant's ability to move past the off the field problems he has encountered since being drafted in 2010.
Bryant was arrested on July 16 after allegedly assaulting his mother at her DeSoto home two days earlier.
"Dez, as we all know, is an unbelievable talent and is trying to make strides to do the right thing, and I'm not really informed on what happened just recently," Gundy said at Big 12 media days in Dallas. "I only know what I saw in the news. I've been out of town and haven't really paid much attention.
"But it saddens me to hear negative things come out about Dez, and hopefully he can get it together."
According to Gundy, Bryant was monitored and received support from several members of Gundy's OSU staff while the Lufkin native was on the Stillwater campus.
"When he was at Oklahoma State, we were with him all the time every step of the way," Gundy said. "We never really had many issues with him. And when I look back at the times, I think that the coaches that were there, they stood next to him and they were there with him and it worked out well for us.
"And hopefully he can get back into that trend in the NFL."
During his two-year NFL career, Bryant has been issued a criminal trespass warning at a Dallas mall, faced multiple lawsuits for failure to repay loans and detained by police in Miami for an altercation at a night club.

Dez Bryant’s mother Angela Bryant surely sounded like a woman ready to press charges on her son in her 911 call to police where she proclaimed, “He tried to kill me.” But as the days have passed and she has apparently cooled off, Angela Bryant has decided to not press charges against her son and to not cooperate with authorities.
Despite Angela Bryant’s decision, the state...
You know his name. You've heard the story. But you don't know the man that is Dez Bryant. He wears No. 88. It's the same number Drew Pearson wore. It's also the same number Michael Irvin wore. But, wearing a number that a Dallas Cowboy legend wore doesn't guarantee success. It only adds fuel to the fire.
The fire is Dez Bryant. The fuel is whatever drives him...
Dez Bryant is a former Oklahoma State wide receiver that now plays for the Dallas Cowboys. According to some reports, he hit his mother but he is taking to Twitter to clear his name. Bryant is an amzing receiver and I have a heard time believing he has hit his mother so color me skeptical. Here are some Tweets in Dez Bryant’s case.

According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Dallas Cowboys are looking for help at the wide receiver position because of the lack of depth they have behind both Dez Bryant and Miles Austin.

Anyone who’s been arrested for grabbing his mother by the hair and slapping her probably comes from a dysfunctional family, and people from dysfunctional families can benefit from counseling. So it makes sense that Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett says receiver Dez Bryant could benefit from counseling. Garrett said Wednesday that the Cowboys are ready to assist Bryant in [...]
