For several season the main problem in CowboyLandhas not been Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense. Though they have at times have made mistakes that cost games the offense at least statistically has been pretty good. They were 11th on total offense is 2011.
The defense has been a different story. In 2011 they were 16th in the league in giving up points, in 2010 they were 31st. So there has been some improvement under Head Coach Garrett and Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan but is it enough to get them back into the playoff in 2012?
Pre-season football is no indicator how a team will play in the regular season. Wins and losses are meaningless. But what I saw through the first two pre-season games especially in the first half of both games was shutout football.
OaklandandSan Diegohave good offensive units and both were able to move the ball against the Cowboys ‘D’ but the Cowboys made plays when they needed to. That is different from the last two seasons of Cowboys’ football.
