Found January 06, 2013 on Checkdown Chatter:
After the game last week Adrian Peterson said "“I told myself to come into this game focused on one thing, and that’s winning." It's a good thing that that was his perspective as it would now be even more heartbreaking that he fell just eight yards short of breaking the mark set by Dickerson. Still, knowing what he knows now - that a trip to the playoffs was ultimately a moot point as Christian Ponder was declared inactive just prior to game time and Joe Webb was thrust into the starting role, and that fact became apparent shortly after kickoff.

Packers stand up to Peterson -- finally

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers were confident they were going to stop Adrian Peterson in Saturday's playoff rematch with the Minnesota Vikings. But, with improved tackling and better gap control, the Packers held Peterson who had 409 rushing yards combined...

Peterson shut down as Vikes fall 24-10 to Packers

Adrian Peterson was shut down and Christian Ponder sidelined. That left the Minnesota Vikings short-handed, overmatched and barely able to do much of anything against the Green Bay Packers. Packers' Harris nearly matches Peterson
