Terence Newman struggled in the first two games, especially with the deep ball. Tonight, Newman has been largely responsible for following Steve Smith all over the field. The results have been pretty good and were just great. Newman picked off a Jake Delhomme pass intended for Smith and returned it a 27-yard touchdown. That should just about seal the deal for the Cowboys. For Newman, it is the second touchdown of his career, and this was his first pick of the season. And an easy one. Delhomme thought Smith was running a slant but Newman jammed him pretty good and Smith started back outside. Unfortunately for Delhomme he threw the ball. Add Tashard Choice's 2-point conversion and the Cowboys now lead 21-7.
