Hey Remember Jerry Porter?

The last time anybody in football circles heard anything about Jerry Porter he was busy stealing $10 million from the Jaguars. Well he is back. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported on Tuesday that Porter has signed a two year contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League after being out of football for the past two seasons. Porter is infamous in Jacksonville for signing an extremely generous six year contract worth $30 million ($10 million of which was guaranteed).  The payoff for the Jaguars was an extremely disappointing 2008 season which saw Porter miss six games due to injury and only saw him catch 11 passes for 181 yards. The Jaguars cut their losses after the first season and decided not to give Porter any more money.  Porter was just another of the major mistakes of the Shack Harris era that set the Jaguars franchise back.
