Hines Ward has conquered the NFL and Dancing with the Stars and the now the retired NFL star is looking to conquer the Ironman Triathlon.
Ward stars in a new documentary, “Become One,” that follows him and three other athletes on their journey as they train for the 2013 Ironman World Championship. The cameras will chronicle their journey for seven months as they prepare to compete in the grueling competition that includes a back-to-back 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike race, and a 26.2 mile marathon. The web series will document the ups and downs, spotlight their routines before and after working out, and the importance of nutrition including using low fat chocolate milk to help their bodies recover.
Ward seems to succeed at whatever he puts his mind to, and I expect the Ironman competition will be no different.
You can check out the trailer for the web series below.

The 2013 NFL combine is now behind us and we are getting a little better handle now on which players are first round prospects. We have also had more time to look even closer at the needs for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Below is a breakdown by position of how likely it will be that the Steelers first round draft pick in April comes from each certain position from least likely to likely...
The 2013 NFL combine is now behind us and the pro days have already started to take place. It is now time for my second 2013 Pittsburgh Steelers mock draft, or as I like to call them, educated guesses. I usually do about 5 or 6 mocks prior to the actual NFL draft and you can find my first mock draft that was released after the Senior Bowl by following the link.
I have already posted...
IT'S ALL HUNKY DORY

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger spent the first 80-percent of his NFL career as a magnet for controversy.

I’m going to be blunt here. I don’t agree with Ben Roethlisberger’s statements yesterday made to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ed Bouchette. Roethlisberger claims the locker room is fine and that recent comments made by a number of current players and a former one are out of “frustration” over an 8-8 season. Frustration is often the result of much more though and that’s...
Steelers' legend working towards his first Triathlon.
In the recent past, the secondary was the weak link of the Steelers’ defense. It was widely known that while teams may not have been able to run the ball on Pittsburgh, you could have success throwing it.
That has changed in more recent years, and 2012 was no exception.
The Steelers led the NFL in yards allowed passing, and were 7th in the league in opposing completion percentage...

The 2013 NFL Combine is complete, and now, the Pro Days will begin, finalizing draft boards in team war rooms throughout the league. Yet as of the first weekend of March, it is still unclear as to whom the Pittsburgh Steelers will select with the 17th overall pick in the NFL Draft. The primary positions speculated in the first round for the Steelers have run the gamut...
The Pittsburgh Steelers struggled through a disappointing 8-8 season last year, which is quite uncharacteristic for one of the NFL’s most successful franchises. As if the team did not already have enough issues to work through in order to get back to the playoffs next season, the coaches and players have also had to deal with anonymous teammates ripping one another.
