The Houston Texans are continuing to make a string of roster moves at the quarterback position. After losing quarterback Matt Schaub in Week 10, the Houston Texans signed former New York Jets QB Kellen Clemens. Following their bye in Week 11, the Texans turned to backup QB Matt Leinart. Leinart broke his collarbone in the first half of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was replaced by rookie QB T.J. Yates.
Following the game against the Jaguars, the Houston Texans brought in veteran Jake Delhomme, signing him for the remainder of the season. On Tuesday, the Texans released Clemens and signed another veteran QB,this time, Jeff Garcia. Delhomme and Garcia had both worked out for the Texans a week before but the Texans decided to go with Delhomme.
Garcia was last an active starter in the NFL in 2008 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Garcia did appear in one game in 2009 for the Philadelphia Eagles.
