This very well could be the most craziest off-season in NFL history, and the craziest free agency period in the history of the NFL. Last year, everyone was talking about obvious choices on who would be picking Andrew Luck, and most certainly nobody thought it would be the Indianapolis Colts. This Free Agency period can all point back to one player, and his neck surgeries.

Peyton Manning, drafted first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft, spent 13 years with the Colts, brought home a Super Bowl title and became a first ballot Hall of Famer. Nobody knew Manning would miss the entire season and that the Colts would be exposed for having a horrible team without Manning. Thus, because of Peyton Manning not playing the whole year, it set forward a spin that nobody saw coming and a change to the NFL that nobody saw coming. If Peyton Manning plays, we aren't talking about Andrew Luck going to Indianapolis, Mark Sanchez doesn't get his feelings hurt, Tim Tebow may still be a Bronco. Here are several free agent signings that changed how the 2012 NFL Draft will play out.

  • Brandon Marshall to Chicago Bears: I have seen Kendall Wright, Stephen Hill or Michael Floyd all mocked to the Chicago Bears at one point or another due to the Bears need of a receiver. Now this is one less team for a receiver looking to be drafted in the first round. This will now allow the Bears to focus elsewhere in the draft, like the offensive line or adding a solid pass rusher to compliment Julius Peppers.
