USA Sports 360:
The Cowboys finished the 2011 season with an 8-8 record. Many fans seem to think it was the Dallas defense and not Tony Romo who couldn’t get the job done. With Rob Ryan as their first year defensive coordinator, Cowboys fans are less than thrilled with his units performance last season. Ryan has an aggressive style, and a fiery personality many think he inherited from his father the Great Buddy Ryan. The Ryan’s have been a family that were raised in the NFL. Both Rob and his brother were able to watch as their father produced winning NFL teams.
The Cowboys defense were ranked 14th in overall defense in 2011, not the worst far from the best. Rob Ryan may have been a little over aggressive in some situations with the Cowboys defense last season. The Dallas Cowboys are going to have to turn things around defensively if they expect to contend as a play-off caliber team this season. With the addition of Morris Claiborne to the Dallas secondary some think they can improve in the 2012 season.
Ryan has to keep his Cowboys in the games defensively this season. If the Cowboys defense can’t show signs of improvement then it will be time to reconsider of Rob Ryan was the right choice for their defensive coordinator in the first place. The Dallas Cowboys were once considered America’s team and to not be a contender in the NFL play-offs as a serious threat, is something football fans aren’t use to at all….
Hey be sure and tell us what you think of Rob Ryan’s job as the Cowboys defensive coordinator, just leave your comments below…..

Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com believes that head coach Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys really trust running back DeMarco Murray after allowing him to carry the ball 20 or more times in five games last season. That is the most for any running back since Garrett became the offensive coordinator in 2007.
On the other hand, Felix Jones has only carried the ball...
ESPN's Dan Graziano writes that RB DeMarco Murray will be a workhorse back for the Cowboys expected to carry the ball about 20 carries per game. Murray had five 20-carry games in 2011. Former starter Felix Jones is now Murray's back up.
Blogger C. Joseph Wright concludes his three-part series in defense of OLB Anthony Spencer by saying "not only is Spencer much better...
Nothing wrong with LB Keith Brooking, but he’s not a better #51 than Ken Norton.
Training camp begins in San Antonio on July 27, so it’s about time to finish this series updating the greatest Dallas Cowboys by their jersey numbers. This one focuses on number 51 through 55.
Several good players have worn #51, including Ken Norton and Dave Manders. Keith Brooking has worn...
Here we go again! It’s time for Tony Romo vs. Eli Manning. The experts like Ron Jaworski have Romo ranked as the 10th best QB in the NFL. He has not ranked the top five yet, but Manning will do no worse than number five on his list. The NFLN recently completed their list of the top 100 players as voted by the players and Romo is ranked 91st and Manning is ranked 31st. What...
Curtis Clay went from former walk-on at TCU to earning a tryout with the Dallas Cowboys. Now he's helping players fulfill the same kind of dreams.

The Dallas Cowboys waited until June to start signing their draft picks. Now, it is uncertain if their first round pick will sign with the team before camp. Cornerback Morris Claiborne, the sixth overall...
I've been a big University of Michigan fan for almost 30 years, and stand up for them during good (Schembechler, Moeller, Carr and hopefully Hoke) or bad (Rich Rodriguez) seasons, but the comment Wolverine alumni and former NY Giants WR Amani Toomer made about Dallas QB Tony Romo being better than NY Giant QB Eli manning is way off.
Toomer, who is now working in media for MSG...
According Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, the agent of Cowboys rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne doesn’t know if his client will have a contract by the time training camp begins later this month.
“I have no idea, don’t know,” said Claiborne’s agent Bus Cook regarding whether or not Claiborne will be in camp on time. “I don’t know. We’ll see.”
Perhaps the signature moment of Tony Romo's career is him fumbling the ball away on a potential go-ahead field goal latein his first playoff game against the Seahawks back in 2007. The signature moment of Eli Manning's career, on the other hand, is either one of the two impossible throws he made in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI to David Tyree and Mario Manningham, respectively...
This is why I'd take Manning over Romo in a heartbeat.
Anytime someone talks about Tony Romo as an elite quarterback, I tend to cringe a little and walk away. Every now and then, someone like Amani Toomer compares Romo to another established quarterback, in this case Eli Manning, and says Romo is the better quarterback. From a purely numbers perspective, Tony Romo is a very...
For those of you that thought maybe former Giants WR Amani Toomer would backtrack on his assessment that Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is better than Eli Manning, you’re dead wrong. He stands by what he said, no matter how wrong he is.
Toomer was on ESPN New York’s Michael Kay Show Friday and said, “I love Eli, and I respect the hell out of him as a person,” “But I have...
I was listening to the fallout of the discussion live on SiriusXM NFL Radio and didn’t think much of Amani Toomer’s comments in support of Tony Romo. I understand that Eli has the rings, etc. but Toomer was just articulating that he likes the statline of a guy like Tony Romo more than he does [...]
