I can run on anyone Juan… CJ Spiller is one of the most electric RBs in the NFL, but is getting held back by his coach.  I reported hat Chan Gailey wants to get the RB more touches, but it remains to seen if he will. Spiller has 78/562/4 on the season which is good for 7.2 YPC.  That is off the charts ridiculous.  Add in the 24/236/1 through the air and you have one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL.  The Bills have some easy matchups (Ind, Jax), but they also have some tough matchups (Mia x 2, Sea) coming up in the next 7 weeks.  I don’t care.  The Bills offensive line has been dominant and Spiller has elite talent.  It’s time for Chan to give the ball to this kid and let him go.  No offense to Fred Jackson, but it’s time to take a back seat.  If you can get him on the cheaper side of the deal, I say pull the trigger. Bills will be looking for a franchise QB in 2013 draft

When the Buffalo Bills signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a seven-year, $62.195 million contract right around this time last year, it seemed that they were making a commitment to Fitzpatrick as their franchise quarterback. Things haven’t worked out that way. Fitzpatrick’s hot start to the 2011 season has given way to almost an entire season of mediocre play and the team has underperformed...

Stevie Johnson has a thigh contusion, Mark Anderson suffers a setback

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson suffered a thigh contusion during this past Sunday’s game against the Texans. Bills head coach Chan Gailey believes he’ll be able to play this coming Sunday. “He may not be able to practice Wednesday, but he should be okay for this weekend,” said Gailey. Gailey denied that defense end Mario Williams was playing with a torn ligament...

Fitzpatrick continues to fade for Bills

Ryan Fitzpatrick's struggles now date back a full calendar year, and there's no sign of him breaking out of his funk. Going into November 2011, the Bills were 5-2 and seemingly on their way to their first playoff berth since the 1999 season, and the ink was barely dry on Fitzpatrick's six-year, $59 million contract, a personnel decision that now seems absurd. Since...

Bills WR Steve Johnson Suffers Severe Thigh Contusion

Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey told reporters that wide receiver Steve Johnson has a "bad" thigh contusion. Johnson tried his best to play through the injury on Sunday, but only caught three of his seven targets for 29 yards. The Bills travel to New England next week which should provide Johnson a very favorable matchup if he's healthy enough to play. For now...

NFL Midseason Report Card: Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have to be one of the more confusing teams as we hit the midseason point in the 2012 NFL season. From time to time, the Bills look like a playoff team. At other times, they closer resemble a team who is worthy of a top three draft pick. They are that frustrating to predict. At this point, all we have learned that we can predict with the Bills is that they will continue...

Bills place CB McGee, OT Pears on IR

The Buffalo Bills placed cornerback Terrence McGee and offensive tackle Erik Pears on injured reserve. The Bills were hoping McGee could return from a knee injury that has plagued him all season to provide a much-needed veteran presence to the secondary. Pears did not travel with the team to face the Houston Texans last Sunday due to a hip injury. One of the roster spots was...

Statistic of the week: 12

This is probably the most simple statistic you will see in this series, but there is no need to complicate something that is so simple and obvious. CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson only combined for 12 total carries on Sunday afternoon. Twelve. Combined. The 2nd ranked rush offense in the league* and 27th ranked passing offense in the league attempted 12 runs and 38 passes on Sunday afternoon...

NFL Week 9: Houston vs Buffalo Recap

HOUSTON (21) d BUFFALO (9) The Headline: Texans corral the Bills for an easy home win The Story: Much had been made about Mario Williams’ return to Houston where he spent the first six years of his career. The split between Williams and the front office was far from amicable by the sounds of it, as they reportedly made no effort to even retain Williams, something which did not...

Texans beat Bills in Williams' return to Houston

HOUSTON - In a homecoming bloated with rancor and disdain, Bills defensive end Mario Williams enjoyed his one moment in the spotlight with a second-quarter sack of Texans quarterback Matt Schaub and a taunting finger wag at the Texans' bench. That was the most memorable impression former Texans player Williams left on Sunday at Reliant Stadium, a development Texans fans surely...
