Moves that the Eagles must make in the offseason. As the Eagles to continue to pile up the losses one can only look to next season. Everyone would expect that Andy Reid will not be part of 2013′s plan despite the changes of late in the coaching staff.  The Eagles have huge holes on the offensive line and defensively that will need to be addressed by whoever is in charge. The final games of this disastrous season will define what moves will be made. As it stands today the Eagles will have the fifth pick in the draft, who they pick will be impacted by the games remaining and free agency. Offensive line> Luke Joeckel Texas A&M , his stock has been rising in recent weeks might just be the best overall lineman in the draft. A&M, who runs and passes the ball well (rank: 14th pass, 13th run) would be an excellent fit for the Eagles who in recent weeks have found a balanced attack is successful. If the Eagles lose out on Joeckel I would expect them to address their need at cornerback and draft Demarcus Milliner of Alabama. Currently Milliner is projected to go in the Top 10 and would fill one of the glaring needs in the Eagles secondary. Filling another secondary need via free agency Quentin Jammer of the Chargers will be a free agent next season. Of course this is December and much will happen prior to the draft. Nick Foles is auditioning for the starting quarterback job which considering who is coming out in the draft and where the Eagles pick, Foles is looking like the man next season. With the emergence of Bryce Brown the Eagles will need to find out if he can HOLD ON to the football in the closing games. If Brown can improve on that glaring deficiency, does it make McCoy a trade possibility for more draft picks? These are just a few of the many holes the Eagles need to fill next season. The remaining games are important to evaluate who stays and who will go. Positive thoughts, if I were to come up with one, it would be the Indianapolis Colts of 2012. The worst in football last season and now a playoff team. It could happen in Philly, all we need is a good draft and the right guy to do it. Andy Reid doesn’t have the history to support he is the guy to rebuild a franchise.Similar Posts: Eagles Odds and Ends: McCoy, Brown, Foles, MNF Can Ruben Amaro Jr. put the Phillies back together again?
