New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford took to Twitter yesterday to apologize for posting the video of cornerback Prince Amukamara being dumped into a cold tub against his will by Jason Pierre-Paul.

“I want to apologize to the fans,” Weatherford said on Twitter.  “The video I posted was distasteful. Our team is a family, and we love each other.  I am sorry to the fans.”

Word is head coach Tom Coughlin is upset about the video being posted, and probably just as upset over the tomfoolery of grown men.

“I’m going to look into it, I’m going to talk to the parties involved,” he said. “As I’m understanding it, there were some parts of it that were inappropriate. And in no way, anything that occurs within this family or within our group should be a part of social media. I’m going to address that strongly because I spent a little time on that this preseason.”

NFL spokesman Greg Aeillo is calling the incident a "club matter". I'm sure we'll hear more about this soon.

Jason Pierre-Paul Throws Prince Amukamara Into Cold Tub (Video)

This video shows Jason Pierre-Paul Throws Prince Amukamara Into Cold Tub. The video was tweeted by punter Steve Weatherford and contains some unsavory language. It shows Pierre-Paul carrying Amukamara, a cornerback, on his shoulder and tossing him head-first into one of the tubs players use to relieve injuries. Not sure what I think about this, clearly Prince doesn't...

We're still trying to piece together why JPP decided to dunk the second-year cornerback into an ice bath but it looks like there might be some bad blood between the two. Check out the incident below filmed by punter Steve Weatherford who posted the video to Twitter: (Courtesy of The Big Lead)

New York Giants’ Steve Weatherford Apologizes for Posting Prince Amukamara Video

Perhaps even more disturbing than New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara being dumped into the cold-tub by Jason Pierre-Paul was that there was a video of it. Giants insist they weren't hazing

While they understand the public's concern over what might be perceived as an apparent hazing incident involving Prince Amukamara, several New York Giants insist that throwing the second-year cornerback into a tub of ice water was a football tradition and not bullying. Amukamara and Jason Pierre-Paul, the Pro Bowl defensive end who threw him into the metal ice tub, said Monday...
