The Indianapolis Colts have traded rush outside linebacker Jerry Hughes to the Buffalo Bills for inside linebacker Kelvin Sheppard. The Jerry Hughes era is done in Indianapolis. The disapointing first round pick has been shipped off to Buffalo and in return the Colts get a solid inside linebacker in Kelvin Sheppard. Hughes never fully developed with the Colts and never was able to see the field for an extensive amount of time. Hughes finished his Colts career with 62 tackles and 5 sacks. Many fans will be happy to see the 4 year veteran go away. I'm personally disapointed, because the guy had 12 sack a year potential, but he just never fully developed. Let's see how he does in Buffalo. The Colts received Kelvin Sheppard, an inside linebacker for the Bills. Sheppard started almost every game last season and compiled 80 tackles with 2 sacks. He's going into his 3rd season in the NFL. Sheppard arrives at a position where it's quite crowded with guys like Pat Angerer, Jer...

The Buffalo Bills aren't finished tinkering with their linebackers this offseason. Buffalo traded Kelvin Sheppard to the Indianapolis Colts for Jerry Hughes on Monday in a swap of linebackers two days after the NFL draft. Sheppard, a 2011 second-round pick from LSU, has been inconsistent in two seasons in Buffalo. He had 138 tackles and two sacks in 31 games, including 24 starts...

Indianapolis Colts: 2013 NFL Draft Recap

As Colts P Pat McAfee put it: the “Bjoern Supremacy.” Indy’s 1st overall pick (#24), Bjoern Werner. The 2013 NFL draft probably didn’t dazzle fans of the Indianapolis Colts the way they might have hoped. It was a “build from the inside-out” philosophy that ruled this draft, as evidenced by the team’s first four picks. First off the board with the 24th overall selecetion...

Jerry Hughes traded to Bills for LB Kelvin Sheppard

Don’t let the door hit ya, Jerry. Hughes was a highly touted draft pick by the Colts in the 2010 draft, but he’s been a constant disappointment in his stay in Indy. His best production was last season as he seemed to work slightly better in Pagano’s new 3-4 hybrid defensive scheme, but he still drastically under produced. Particularly so for a 1st round draft pick. Good riddance...

An example of this has been Indianapolis Colts free agent Dwight Freeney, who has been forced to lower his asking price since the offseason began, according to Jeff Legwold of The Denver Post. Legwold...

Linebacker Keith Pough Signed by the Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have signed, undrafted Howard linebacker, Keith Pough. Keith was a four-year starter for Howard and ended his career with the most TFL in FCS history. He is not the fastest (4.87 40 time) guy on the field by any stretch but gives you max effort and will not give up on a play. He is most likely being brought in to compete for a reserve role and play special teams...

Dwight Freeney looking for Osi Umenyiora money

Earlier this offseason, free agent defensive end Dwight Freeney was looking for $8 million per year.  Now that Freeney is still a free agent, it sounds like he’s willing to accept something similar to the two-year, $8.5 million contract Osi Umenyiora received from the Falcons. Freeney has since told teams he wants a deal similar to Falcons’ Osi Umeniyora — $8.5 million over...
