The prevailing thought around Lion’s nation is that Chris Houston should be brought back if the rules of 2009 free agency are brought back and he becomes an unrestricted free-agent.  The argument is whether it is in the Lion’s best interests to bring him back knowing they will likely be in a bidding war with another team for his services.  The side that wants Chris back argues that because of his efforts the Lions were able to jump from last in the league in defending the pass to 16th.  He also helped the Lions to being ranked 16th in the NFL against teams number 1 receivers and second in the league against their number 2s.  That’s pretty good production from a unit that was just two years removed from being mentioned as one of the worst to ever exist.  Houston didn’t have any extremely bad games where he was exposed by another team (like Smith did against the Patriots) and was very solid all year.  The argument could also be made that with more time in this system he would be even ...
